With the Godzilla movie just a few months away from release, the marketing campaigns for the movie has been kicking some higher records. A recent ad by Snickers, features a really cool Godzilla who is friendly, fun and amazing – but that’s only when he is not hungry. Hunger unveils the other and the much darker side of the cool and friendly Godzilla, and trust me, the hungry Godzilla isn’t a very great guy. Nevertheless, the only way to calm down this bad boy is by bringing in the hero, and the hero of this ad, is of course Snickers! Snickers chocolate bar knows exactly how to do its job and save the day! The crunchy nuts, rich chocolate and gooey caramel does the magic to fill in the tummy of the hungry and cranky old Godzilla, and once again he is back to being the same cool, funny and…

In the end, the ad shows how this little practice created a huge connection between the both and undoubtedly created some great memories too. Instagram, has recently earned quite a lot popularity among online users, and thus has become a great marketing platform for companies to promote their products. Therefore, Heineken decided to make the most of this social picture website, and came up with very unique and an innovative concept to market its brand. Unlike the usual uploading of pictures, along with the company’s hashtag, Heineken decided to interact with the social media family in a fun way, and designed a Scavenger Hunt through a new Instagram handle, @crack_the_us_open. This handle has uploaded over 200 pictures till date, each of them showing a section of audiences sitting in for the US Open Men’s Final, and you are supposed to find a person among this huge rush of people. If you find the person, you comment on the picture along with the given hashtag, and win yourself a chance to attend the US Open…
Don’t we all form consensus over the idea that the sweetest part of a chocolate bar is the last piece? Keeping this insight in mind, Milka decided to keep the last piece of chocolate to themselves instead. You are possibly wondering if such kind of campaigns can actually turn out to be popular. Well, yes, this campaign earned thousands of loyal customers for Milka, drastically increasing its sales. Milka, while taking away the last piece of chocolate, dared its customers to be tender. Through a hidden code on the bar’s wrapper, the chocolate company gave its customers the choice of getting back the missing piece to themselves or mailing it to someone they care about, along with a personalized message. The campaign turned out to be something that touched the hearts of many across France and worldwide. Think you can be tender enough to share your last piece of chocolate…
Advertising for a product does not always mean hiring models with sparking smiles, photogenic faces and sharp voices, or putting up huge billboards across the city with your company’s logo printed all over. IBM came up with a brilliant ambient advertising campaign that takes regular advertising a step further, making it not only effective but also useful for everyone. This ambient advertising campaign by IBM was really about doing good for the community. Setting up benches, stairway ramps and shelters around the city only by adding simple extensions to outdoor properties. The video shows how the campaign worked and made a difference for everyone. No wonder, sometimes little increments can add a lot of value and make a big difference!
M&M’s Red is in love. And he would do anything for his ladylove, from carrying her shopping bags behind her as she goes on a shopping spree, to painting her nails and letting her do his hair. It’s all good till being a slave for your lady love, (of course we like that), but what if your ladylove wants to skin you, bake you in the oven to serve you as a topping on her whipped cream cake, and wants to gobble you up with a cookie? If that’s not enough, she even wants you get inside a piñata! Yikes, poor Red’s ladylove certainly has a little of cannibal instincts. See how Red sings a song full of sorrow and emotion, yet makes a point that he would not let his love torture him in anyway. I guess we all are tempted.
In order to promote Nivea’s new Stress Protect Deo, the team of Felix and Lamberti instead of just playing it mainstream and promoting the product through a series of television and print adverts, came up with a crazy ad campaign. A bunch of passengers waiting for their flights at the airport lounge were targeted, snapped pictures of, and were announced as wanted criminals. Yikes! I don’t even want to imagine myself in a situation like that, but I am sure I’d need the Nivea Stress Protect Deo more than any of the targets in the video! It is somewhat hard to believe for me that most of the passengers played it cool till the end when they all were presented a Nivea Stress Protect Deo spray to refresh themselves. Have a look for yourself, and use the comment section below to tell us how would have you reacted in a…
